Default UK Van Hire

Heyup orgers. I'm looking to hire a van in the uk in a few weeks time, just standard transit size or bigger (doesn't have to specifically be a transit).

The problem is i'm 19 so can anyone point me in the right direction or help atall.

I'm a delivery driver driving flaming sprinter box vans for a living, yet nobody seems to be able to hire me a transit. I understand why of course with age causing the insurance a problem but it's a pain. I need a company who even if i have to pay extra to will get me one. North of England would be better, Cheers.

Yeah, it is hard work

My lad a couple of years ago got his van written off, 3rd party insurance said, we will supply a hire van until your claim is settled. Then discovered nobody would touch him as he was 18. They then tried to fob him off with cash in lieu. err no I need a van for work. I am self employed.

Oh was your van insured for business use. (not their problem, they cover the idiot who ran into the back of him.) still nice attempt to get out. Yes it is covered for business that's why I pay so much.

They eventually found that they had to take out their own insurance for him to drive the hire van as no hire company would touch him, and basically hire the van themselves, with declined insurance and he is issued a policy from the 3rd parties company to cover him/van
