If you're not too hard on the throttle you'll get around 20 miles from flashing light to solid light. After the solid light...I don't know - I've put petrol in by then.

I noticed the lack of a fuel gauge too on my 02.

Was told 30-40 miles from blink to empty.

about 30 but remember then your putting the "dirty fuel" through the carbs at that point, but saying that i have done 190 mile on 1 tank a task i hope to never try to repeat

How much can you guys fit in the tank?

Mine started blinking for the first time and I could only cram £12 in.

I suppose a better question would be, what size is the tank?

16 litres for a curvy and US pointy, 17 litres for a European pointy.

rule of thumb the light is 3-4 litres remaining, and as dave has said u'll be starting to pull all the cr*p through that sits at the bottom.

Europe tanks sizes are 16l on a curvy and 17 for the pointy, with the low fuel as stated
I work on 25 miles to empty and trust me it nail biting when you have to do it.

The fuel is always pulled from the bottom of the tank, whether full or empty.
