So...bought a bike on ebay on Thursday for me as although I love the babyblade, it is just a bit too small and is a great toy, but not good for long day rides.
So.....here's my new baby. Absolutely incredible condition, brand spanking new Piralli Diablos, new battery, 12 months tax and MOT, it came with the standard can and screen, chain, every MOT cert. and dealer service stamp etc. etc. Apart from a few teeny little marks that you really have to look hard for, it is in pretty much showroom condition. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() WOW as well. Went up to Manchester on the back of the Blackbird with Dan yesterday, picked it up at 3.45 and had a 10 mile trip to go see some friends, then a 15 mile trip to the mates house we stayed at. Given the fact that I can very barely get my tip toes on the floor at the same time, it was quite nerve wracking, but only when stopping. Riding in town it was surprisingly smooth and easy to handle on even the tightest bends. Feel more comfortable turning this is tight circles than I do the babyblade ![]() Today, we came home from Manchester via Welshpool, Hereford, Monmouth and Chepstow and it was an awesome ride. It's crazyily powerful compared to the Babyblade. I spun the rear wheel and had a mini wobble because I short shifted up to 2nd for a fairly large roundabout on the Bristol ring road, but should have known better and gone up to third and it was simply a case of too much power going to the rear for the wet road. It needs to be in third for roundabout fun, whereas the babyblade can be thrashed round in 2nd. It's just incredible. It's going to do my riding the world of good because has power that needs to be respected, so it's actually calming my riding down. Making me take a step back if ya know what I mean. Anyway...there ya go....very comfortable considering the mileage today. I LOVE IT ![]() |

Exactly the lesson I had to learn when I got my GSXR and dont let it lull you into a false sense of security, its very easy to go much faster than you are used to going.
Looks tidy though, you are going to enjoy that once you have gelled with it.

Must admit at first glance I thought it might be a 9. Fair play though they are cracking bikes, and its the right colour scheme.
Have fun, be safe. |
