Last video, around the 1:28 mark... WTF was the rider thinking filtering along the kerb? Is he on a pushbike?

And what is the amazing ability referred to?

That rider you were referring to is me.

The gap was big enough and it was safe to do so. I was filtering at no more than 15mph, was using throttle, clutch and rear brake control.

I gained the advantage by making progression, that is what being an advanced rider is all about.

And the BMW Driver... Well if you noticed his wing mirror was still folded in wards.

All I saw was a bike rider overtaking on cross hatchings and going through amber lights - or was I supposed to be noticing something else?

Not very fast progression

Can you please explain what you did that was different and any safer, bearing mind that he was in a nice hard tin box with a seatbelt and airbags and you were on a bike?

Filtering up the inside of traffic in town is a mug's game. I leave those sort of antics to scooter riders, and let them get collected by car doors flung open by passengers jumping out to run to work. You may call it making progress, I call it foolish and I'm well known for my ability to get through traffic quickly.

You are correct, however on this occasion I only offsided the broken lines and stayed close to the lines when there were gaps of the on coming traffic for the over take.

And here dear reader we learn the true value of an IAM pass. Do as I say, not as I do.

You started and virtually completed your overtake in the right turn lane, not on the broken whites (in fact you barely clipped the broken whites towards the end of your overtake) and throughout the whole manouver four different approaching vehicles had the potential to turn into that right turn lane whilst you were in it.

Not wanting to sound too harsh, but after watching three of your videos I've come to the conclusion that you have developed that typical IAM affliction commonly known as "holier than thou". You obviously are under the mistaken impression that because you have a certificate with 'Pass' written on it that you are somehow much safer pulling those kind of manouvers than us mere plebs who haven't.

I have news for you - car drivers don't give a flying f*@k whether you think you're good or not, they'll still pull stupid stunts without indicating well in advance and the things they drive still hurt lots.
