Default Anyone used Viper DB Killers?

Hey all

I need the option of making my bike quieter with my Viper can. I think it sounds perfect without baffles but my Mrs is complaining its too loud, and would wake the kids up on early/late start/stops.

It came without baffles, I can see the hole in the end pipe right near the tip though where one was fitted at some point.

What are the differences between baffles and db killer? Which is best at reducing noise without affecting performance, or are they both the same?

Are they any good? I read a few reviews saying that they made naff all difference. Dont want to buy it to just find out it doesnt do the job.

Although saying that, I might just fit one anyway to please the local plod. When I came off the copper had a whine about the can becuase it had no baffles, but didnt do anything.

Also, if my can doesnt have any markings on it at all, is it technically legal?

No E marking (or is it BS) and no "Not for Road Use" either.
