Good luck mate, you should be able to plug it with epoxy putty though, has been working for me for a year no probs.

Good luck with this Strop. Quedos' father had bother with a '99 tank weeping in exactly the same way which no amount of petro-patch and who knows what else would cure. New(er) tank in the end since it had corroded somewhere near the hinge point and couldn't be full accessed due to the layers of steel etc...
