Default Froyo on HTC Desire

Just checked my phone for updates and it is now downloading 2.2 Froyo as I type, so if you've got a HTC Desire make it check for updates!

Has anyone had a chance to play with it yet, any opinions?

The update won't reach everyone straight away, they started rolling it out yesterday and will release it in phases over the next two weeks or so.

Awesome. Let us know how it is. I'm getting a Dell Streak to play with for a few weeks and it's still on 1.6

My Desire is a network independent one. The browser seems faster, the new flash integration is superb, can now watch you tube etc without having to use an app. The phone is generally slicker.. added functionality to you the phone as a wifi hotspot for the 3g connection.

Supposedly the battery life should receive a significant boost but that remains to be seen.
