I'm after the lug/plastic bit that normally breaks off the headlight assembly from a pointy SVS.
It's the one with the 8 star-esk bits coming out from it, with the long lug in the middle. (If memory serves me right the lugs go into the front sub-frame) (I've acquired a plastic welder and am planning on welding one back on - considering it's lasted two years with only one, I figure it's worth a go!) ![]() Last edited by Steve_God; 05-04-10 at 09:58 PM. |

The actual 'sticky out bit' (technical term) broke off on mine and I managed to get a bolt through it. Has held up quite well.

Well it's the whole bit that had broken off (including the star-esk bit) so there's nothing to put a bolt through at the mo

Ah...reckon you might struggle to get that bit on it's own!
You could probably make something up with an 'L' shaped bracket with a bolt through? |

Possibly... but I figure that if it's snapped off for me, it's got to have done the same for someone else

To clarify, I don't need a whole one, just the bit here that's circled in red:
(you can see on the other side that one has been snapped off) ![]() |

I just wondered how this turned out for you. I've got one headlight assembly with perfect lens but missing those two lugs and another unit with the lugs but the lens pretty scratched up. I'm currently considering my options!

As I couldn't track one down and I'd got a plastic welder (essentially a soldering iron) I kinda bodged it together using lots of small cylinders of plastic to make a similar structure to what's already there.
It's wasn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it was enough for it to sit in place before attaching the rest of it together which would have then secured it to the sub-frame. |
