Tried to fit my new HEL braided lines today but they have sent me the wrong double banjo bolt for the front master cylinder. They have sent a M10 x 1.25 instead of a M10 x 1.00.
Anyone know where I will be able to get a stainless one from, ideally by tomorrow? Thanks. |

Bike shops will sell them, my local one does as they are goodridge dealers and their lines all have seperate fittings

If you speak to HEL they should get you one out next working day. Depends how soon you need your bike functional if you can wait till Tuesday at the earliest.

Do you have the kit of lines that go one from the m/cyl to one caliper, and then over the mudguard to the other caliper?
Depending on exactly which bike you have this might, (note; might), account for the double banjo at the caliper and thus the 'other' thread, just a thought.

I *think* I have the kit with 2 front lines that each run from the master cylinder. That's the one I ordered anyway and the length of the lines seems right for this setup. I'll take some pics tomorrow of how I've got it set up and will see if it looks okay.

BTW, is the pitch the same on the rear master cylinder on a curvy as I have just realised that all the other bolts are also 1.25 pitch. (Not got round to doing the rear yet) Will I have to get another M10x1.25 bolt for the rear?
Edit, scrap that. Just realised that the rear line does not run directly from the master cylinder but from the lever itself. Last edited by radicalry00; 05-09-10 at 08:34 PM. |

IIRC it is fine pitch on rear MC but can check if you've not looked at yours yet

I've just had a search and you're correct YC. It seems that the rear MC is a fine pitch like the front on the curvy. Thanks for the offer though.
