I'm eying up a few bikes and have found a contender at 2ndBite but they're miles away from me (I'm not that worried about this, I've got family darn sarf I could always see whilst I'm there).
Does anyone off the 'Org have any past experience with them? Cheers James |

You have PM - all good, just don't want any comments to be seen publicly as negative

I live round the corner from them, been in there a few times. Once when I was buying the CBR, had a test drive on one they had loved it. However they would not do a deal. I ended up getting a much better bike for the same money.
They used to work out of a barn in swanley, but have now moved to a better location and also have a workshop and plently of bikes. Don't have much more of use to say really. |

They buy most of there bikes from ebay and put them in there showroom to make a bit more. They bought my dads fireblade off ebay 3weeks ago and sold it within days for an extra £600.

The buying & selling bit I don't have a problem with to be honest, we all need to make a pound somewhere along the line, the bike there is just one of a few I'm looking at (and it's by far the furthest away!) but I'll keep them in mind.
Thanks for your help folks. |

I am sorry if this is negative feedback but I have just come back from 2ndBite today. I live in Portsmouth and phoned 2ndbite because they had a Kawasaki Ninja 250 which was ideal for my lad and spoke to the sales guy on the phone on Monday. I liked the sound of the bike and told him i would be out on Wednesday mid afternoon and emphasised that i was coming from Portsmouth but would check first on the morning to make sure he hadnt sold it. This morning (Wednesday) I phoned him and he confirmed he still had the bike; I even spoke about fitting a tracker and an alarm and told him that i would be there mid afternoon and reiterated that i was coming from Portsmouth (95 miles away).
When I got there the bike was actually out at the time on a test run by another purchaser and he sold it right under our noses. He even had the tenacity to say he didnt know i was coming! I accept that these places need to run a business but I felt that this guy had no morals at all and didnt have the decency to ring me and say he had a buyer. I feel very bitter about his methods and would strongly advise that unless you live local to this place dont waste your time travelling, there will be no guarantee the bike will still be there. |

Delta, sounds pants mate, but sadly in this world it is first come first served and sadly they probably get the 'Im coiming to look at it' all the time and no one turns up. Just sounds like its jolly bad luck fella.
Never used the company, but im sure it would and could happen anywhere. |
