Default Unknown Product

When my dad brought his Triumph Rocket it was covered in a whitish powdery film substance that just wiped off, It was purchased from an auction and had been stored for about a year, i guess this stuff was some kind of non corrosive to stop all the chrome pitting?

His bike is now in storage at the back of the garage with the battery off, and the optimate on every now and again (its a MAHOOSIVE battery) If we can get hold of some of this stuff then will put it on and save a hell of a lot of polishing in the spring when the rocket comes back out.

Any ideas as to what it is/could be?

Thanks in advance!

What about all that chrome though! lots of people mentioning ACF50, never heard of it before, normal bike wax has also been mentioned, would that do the same trick if left on there and not buffed off?

ACF50 sticks like glue, if you want chrome covered in crap like a magnet then use it. Its not a polish.
