Default Would you ride this?

Popped by local bike shop today and he had a few bikes in that had had the frames chopped in half and had a joint welded in so they could be packed away smaller. Just wondering if anyone else would be apprehensive about riding one!?

No way! That is bound to have weakend the frame substantially! It'd be like a cut n shut motor!

It's the main frame at the front of the bike, blue bit to the left is the tank , headstock to the right.
