Suzuki Alarm System?

Hi guys,

I'm a newbie to biking and I've just got myself a K5 SV650S. The bike has an alarm fitted, however I am not sure if this is a factory fitted alarm or an after-market one. I can't find any documentation for the alarm so i was wondering if anyone could provide me of any information.

It seems to be a Suzuki alarm system as the key fob is branded suzuki. It is a ''flip out'' key type and the fob has 3 buttons, one button to arm/disarm, one button for a built in LED torch, and the third button is labelled ''P'' but I can't fathom out what this is for.

I have googled all sorts to try find a simalar suzuki alarm system but can't find anything.

Does anybody recognise this system, or can anybody shed any light on the mystery ''P'' button?

I will try to get a picture off the keyfob and post it to this thread as this may help.

Sounds like mine, mines a Acuman Cat 1.1 and the fob sounds identical to me.
What beeps does it make when you arm and disarm. Mine make 2 beeps when arming and 1 when disarming?
I'm not sure what the P button does, I can't find my manual anywhere but il go and try and find it for ya.

What happens when you press it when near the bike?

Some alarms have a button so that you can sound the alarm remotely. The alarm itself is probably mounted under the rear plastics. Once you know what alarm it is, you can google the user manual and find out what the button is actually for.
