Default SV400, where is the ignition unit?

hi need help again lol i have looked all over my sv400
and can i hell find where the cdi unit is need to swap it so i can fit my 650 lump in and get back on road been off it way too long now

you don't have a CDI unit, no SV does, if you mean the ECU; then you'll find it just in front of the rear light under the pillion seat, black box with a single large connection plug and a retaining lug on either side.

Unless it's a Pointy, then the ECU should be next to the battery

I've never seen a sv400 pointy (as the OP stated), where did you see one of them Stu
