Here is the scenario, I am a student at uni and therefore I have bugger all money for modifications however my parents want to know what I want for my Christmas and Birthday since they are very close and they are very organised. I have already replaced the front springs, added a clip on exhurst, and upgraded the brake pads (like I said I am a uni student) so that is as far as I can go but I was thinking some new discs. Maybe a new rear shock or new callipers but they are very expensive. Any ideas.

I already put crash bunges on and the reason I want idea is because these modifications are for Christmas so I dont have to pay for them, the screen is a good idea though. Dark blue SVS go with a blue screen?

Dark smoke suits most bikes. Personally I'm wary about colour coding bits for bikes, if not done with a delicate thought it can look tacky. That's just my opinion though.
Indies? Stock ones are huge and fugly. Tail tidy? Upgrade stock bulbs for the onset of darker days? Fenda Extenda? Adjustable Levers? Some ideas. |

Fender Extender, a service... I know on cars you NEVER replace the discs without changing the pads too, so if you have just fitted new pads then forget the discs until you need to replace the pads again.
The brake fluid is probably ready, mines on a 06 reg and only done 8K miles but the fluid looks like crap (it absorbs water like a liquid sponge and can rust the brake system from the inside) What SV do you have??? |

I have decided on a tail tidy, brake discs, the screen, bulbs and what does a fenda extenda do and do they look any good

A fenda extenda helps stop water splashing up against your front cylinder plug, which on the SV's is notorious for causing misfire problems.
Can be made to look good/unnoticeable with a bit of prep work. |

It helps to stop the front tyre blasting the front plug with water in wet weather, if the plug gets too wet it shorts out and stops sparking causing your bike to run on only the rear cylinder. Also remove the front plug cap and smear it with grease, that helps to keep the water out.
