Default Magic mushroom law

What a completely and utterly batsh*t mental law to make...

Now then, a few years ago it was some brilliant fun to get fairly trousered on perfectly natural, free and organic fungi.

Now I come back to it years later and find that the bit of harmless entertainment there used to be has been reclassified to full class A drug status! Imagine... funding foreign organisations which take over countries, attack government officials, keep 12 year old girls as slaves... YES... YOU... the one in the poncho with the guitar and a dreamy look in your eye... Somehow I f***ing doubt it...

Yeah cheers labour, again, you c***s... for sneaking that one through with the ASBO legislation. May their balls turn square, fester on the corners, fall off and bounce down a drain.

I stop using a substance for 8 years and look what happens! I'd better start smoking again!

Discuss.

i agree. its a load of bull****e. my mates and i used to go mushy picking a lot when we were teens, great fun. its amazing out in the middle of know where and what pops up? yup a police officer, nice chap we had a good old laugh and chat about them. my mate even drew a mushy on his note pad and we showed him the contents of our boxes. he was more concerned about us knowing the difference between the poisonous ones and the trippy ones. as he left his words were 'enjoy yourselves and be careful'. its weird talking to officers when your tripping out your nut.

but i will say one thing my noggin has never been the same. once done i do think it changes people.

Psilocybin mushrooms are non-addictive and rarely abused. They do create short-term increases in tolerance of users, thus making it difficult to abuse them since the more often they're taken, less effects take place.[11] Poisonous (sometimes lethal) wild picked mushrooms can be easily mistaken for psilocybin mushrooms, but true psilocybin mushrooms are non-toxic.

If that was the reason for the ban fair enough, but the drug it self seems pretty harmless to me, maybe people started selling them and it caused all the social ills as regular drug taking?

Id rather they ban ciggies and alcohol and legalise all the 'natural wonders'. They are far more dangerous substances and cost us millions a year to clean up after.

Bastwads.

I do think that prohibition is a waste of a great source of revenue.

How many people do we know who like a chilled out smoke, a disco biscuit or a bit of a wake me up when out socialising? Now if that were legal, came from reputable suppliers and paid a similar amount of tax that fuel, booze or cigarettes paid, there would be a good income for the exchequer.

Personally, I would not partake even if it were legal, but then I don't even like drinking that much and do not smoke. Freedom of choice would be better than prohibition and criminalisation in my view.

Only problem is that masses becoming addicted, then suffering mental problems and be unable to work and start stealing things.

Like you i dont even like drinking.

I grew up in Herefordshire where shrooms were everywhere. I didn't try them, not interested. So really, I'm not arsed about them being re-classified.

I did find this amusing though!

IIRC they are only class A if dried out. Wet, they are unclassified.
