Errrrrrr. Sorry for the stupidity but what is this? It is cable tied to the rear brake hose. Part of the bike or alarm or any other suggestions please.

Not enough pins for a diagnostic I'd have thought? And they tend not to have retaining clips?
Possibly a DIY battery charger connection? Have you got a multimeter? Slap it across the terminals and see if you get a voltage

Not thick enough cables for the battery charger.
This is a curvey, so, there isn't much info coming the ECU... Does kind of look like an information junction to me, like for the speedo etc, but, 650's use cables for that... Quite a mystery |

If its cable tied to the brake hose its not going to be standard, so its a previous owners mod. Is that an inline fuse just out of picture? Would guess it connects to the battery in that case

Battery can only be charged at <1.5A maximum - cable could easily handle that with plenty of room to spare
Happy to be proven wrong but I don't think the curvy has an ECU? CDI unit yes, but not an ECU like the EFI pointy?? There's none on the wiring diagram...

But, the cable looks too exposed and too clean to be original equipment and an odd place to put it for a battery cable... IMO |
