Default Bar ends - fitment.

Sorry for the noob question.

I bought these to replace my damaged bar ends. http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/moto...tent_prod/1805

It says in the description 'fit both handlebar sizes.' But they don't seem to fit mine, they come with two metal sleeves (which are both loose inside the bar) and a tappered nut, is there something else I need?

It had these before.

Which have a tight fitting rubber bung that you just screw into until tight, Simple.

Is the Nut at the rear of the bung turning with the Allen screw?

This should stay stationary and pull on the bung to expand it.....may need a bit of help starting off.

There is no bung with the new ones, they have metal sleeves/spacers.

I have put them inside the bar and turned with the allen key until the nut goes tight against the metal sleeve and won't go any further, and still it sits loose inside the handlebar. More than likely the wrong size?

I have never seen them like that....looks proper rubbish!!

Can you not swap over the rubber bung system on to your new ones, from the old ones?

Do you get two sizes of expanding sleeve?

Wonder if you're supposed to put one other the other!?

yeh two sizes and you just remove the one and put the other on but that one looks like a sleeve to go over the other one

Yeah two sleeves. I have tried one inside the other and the larger diameter sleeve alone, I only tried for 5 minutes though because I had to go out and was already late.
I'll try again tomorrow after work (no lighting in my garage and I've been nursing a hangover today) I would use the rubber bungs from the old ones but me being hamfisted tore one of them prizing it out with a screwdriver lols.
