Fitted a later model Suzuki rectifier to the curvy at the weekend. The unit was physically bigger. Had Suzuki realised ther was a problem with the early ones and increased the finning to disperse the heat? It bolted in place of the old one and still cleared the tail plastics. The connector for the 3 alternator wires matched the original one but the +ve & -ve had 4 wires and different pins. Took wires out of both connectors and used a heavy duty terminal block to join them up and taped it up to prevent accidental shorts. Now getting 14V at the battery.
