Default Levi 501's £95 - WTF?

So just went to replace some of my jeans, which have too many holes in too many places...turns out that 501's are now £95 a pair in the UK...

Shopped around online and even with a discount code and free delivery the ones I wanted were £58 ish!!!

...and in my quest I found the ones I wanted on Levi's US site for...wait for it...$40, that works out at about £25 per pair!!!

Question 1: How is that right?

Question 2: Is anyone on here from the states and can send me some over?

Personally, I like plain- dark blue, boot fit Gap jeans. They're £30 a pair.

The f**kers just don't seem to have them in stock at the mo!

Rip Off Britain strikes again. Levis deliberately hike their prices over here, claiming to be an 'exclusive brand'. In the US, they're just workwear.

A few years ago, Tesco were sending people over to the states to buy up cheap Levis and were selling them over here for about £28. Levis sued them and won. Ever since then, I've been buying them cheap on Ebay, or finding decent almost new pairs in charity shops, rather than give those greedy *******s my money. I'd switch to a different make, but 501's fit me better than any other jeans.

Yes, but the shipping will likely make it closer to £40.

£40 would be fine with me, even with a good search and vouchercodes.com they were still £58 ish quid, plus not nearly the choice of the american levi site...

I got my last pair in August from jeanstore.co.uk. They were £47 + £4p&p before the VAT increase.
