And god i am crap. My gear changes were crap and i was so tense i unsettled the bike on a couple of corners. I am normally fairly confident but everything about the ride this afternoon was awful. The trumpet felt big and clumsy and any input into the bars/pegs felt delayed but i put this down to riding the KTM all winter and gotten used to throwing something higher and lighter around.
Anyone else get this on their first ride after winter? ![]() I had better get out again tomorrow and brush off some dust and cobwebs off me and the trumpet. |

I was very rusty when I got back on the SV after 2 years. It came back after about 20minutes though.

Yes mate, I was the same, hadnt ridden the sprint for a while just my DRZ, first ride in ages also included the wife on the back
![]() She didn't notice but I was crap, lumpy gear changes etc, not getting into right gear before a bend or junction etc Was ok after a bit though, just took it easy. |

Yes... I ride all winter but only short trips, first long trip was to Portmadog, it wasn't too special. Same symptoms as you, but I was very cold and I put my jerky inputs down to that.

yup, was out at the weekend, felt really good, but skills need brushing up, found myself braking far too much for the corners, still better than not enough

I ain't a softie!
![]() Prefer it, a guy I used to work with was a wet weather expert. No one could keep up with him. Cue pic of Rictus out in the snow
