Default Explosions!

Anyone watch this prog on the Beeb
Explosions: How we shook the World

Brilliant. If you like a good bang, give it a watch. The shaped charge stuff is superb.

Childhood friend and former biking companion works for the MOD mixing up concoctions to go bang.

He used to enjoy raiding kitchens at parties to generate a bang.

Munro theory, deflagration, blah, blah blah.

Best homemade stuff is ANFO. Loads of bang for your buck. Thats why the boyos from "The Province" liked it.

Fun program, but he missed out on fuel-air explosions. They're pretty important since they propel cars and bikes around.

Demonstrating a fuel-air explosion on a small scale would be tricky, if only because you need a decent shock wave to trigger detonation instead of deflagration. Maybe a weather balloon full of ethylene oxide/air initiated by a hydrogen/oxygen explosion might hit the spot.
