im looking to change my front calipers on my '99 curvy and was wondering what calipers would offer better braking performance and fit my curvy?

No alternative calipers are a direct fit, though people have made up adapter plates to take various Nissin, Yamaha and Tokico calipers.
A well serviced set of SV calipers is really very effective. Jambo
