I got a naked 51 plate k1 and it reaches 90 easily (that had 13k on the clock when i got it) now has 17k and is still sweet as a nut.

Dont forget that the gsxr and cbr is a different engine with different power delivery. Use the search function on here and you'll find loads of stuff on restricted/unrestricted power and indicated speeds. |

It's definitely not producing as much power as it should if it tops out at 90mph. I know a few on here have reached over 100mph with 33bhp SVs. With the full 72bhp, that it should be providing, 90mph should be a breeze.

sounds restricted to me, mines a 02 sv650s and it'll easily go quicker than that.

When was it last serviced? At that mileage it needs a big(valve)service if its not been done.Whoever does that will soon be able to tell you if its restricted or if the power loss is due to other service issues like plugs, airfilter and chokes.

Admittedly, when I took my 02 650S round Snetterton all the 600 & 1000 boys were doing me on the straights, but I was still hitting 120mph on the back straight before braking.

I never noticed a massive difference with the 600's and could keep close enough if i slipstreamed to get by on the brakes remember seeing atleast 130mph indicated just before braking. Plus the sv seemed to get out of the corners better than some others.
