Hi,
I'm gonna be changing my ZX6 hopefully for a speed triple, tuono or super duke, but have been offered tradein values of £1850, £2200 and £2350 for my ZX, and each garage told me that sports bies are just not selling at the moment and it would be better for me to tradein, It hink I could get closer to the £3000 mark private but is it true that they are not selling? Mine is an 04 ZX6, 17.5k, FSH, valve clearence service done 1.5k ago, new tyres, very good con, stomp grip, private plate, stopm grips, full akra, R&G bungs, cotton reels, will take off steering damper, speedo healer and PCIII to sell later. Should I chance a private sale??? Cheers |

What sort of mileage is it?
That makes a big difference to how easy it would be to sell. |

Yeah 17.5k but having it's major service done in Feb 2010 and 2 minors in 2010 must have some bearing on the price?

if you can do with out a bike whilst you are looking for a new bike then try selling it privately. The worse that could happen is you end up with an extra 650 quid.
Not sure if this is accurate or up to date http://www.parkers.co.uk/motorbikes/...=6493&plate=75 Kawasaki ZX636-B2H 2004/04 Original Price £6,850 Independent Dealer £3,210 Private Good £2,815 Private Poor £1,960 Part Exchange £2,305 HTH

The million dollar question is do they actually sell for that
![]() If you dont want the aggro of selling and the dealer has the bike you want and you can for go the extra cash then trade it in I guess. Otherwise spend a bit of time on it and post it up and see what happens. Personally I'm awful at selling things and can do with much less aggro ![]()
