Default Diesel on the roads?

well on the way to work this morning ive nearly dropped the bike twice. there appears to be a nice river of diesel on the roads between brighouse and huddersfield. It kind of fizzled out after asda but bloody hell it wasnt good.

be careful folks!

Was there a broken down truck with the caps off the fuel tanks where it fizzled out??

Its like Calderdale MBC not noticing thier massive potholes. Theres a junction on Warley Rd and Parkinson LAne, with the worlds largest and highest concentration of them in one spot......very dangerous, so big they'd swallow a Landrover whole, never mind a bike! Can't see em til; your on top of them, and if its raining and dark, an accident and a lot of bent forks waiting to happen.
Calderdales reaction...fill them up with the lowest grade tarmac and flatten em with a spade, so now they are like molehills!

As mentioned in another thread, roads were a little icey this morning from a light dusting of snow over night - had a twitch on a fork junction in Cleck serving as a reminder to the snow I'd seen whilst walking the dog.

also, last night I was on my way out of leeds back to york on the a64 - when it's dark and everyone has their headlights on, be aware that filtering at 30-35mph through traffic which is crawling along at 10mph, your headlights will well and truly blend in to the rest of the headlights thus making you invisible to the cage drivers who are watching for buses pulling out and idiot taxi drivers who have changed from lane 1 to 2 and back again several times...

If you filter a little more slowly and maybe wear a hi-viz jacket, you won't have to turn round and give me a w*nker sign for not seeing you flashing through the traffic like a rocket ship...

p.s. next time I may well knock you off.
