Default Re: radiator

I may be wrong but needs to be a pointy 03 onwards radiator as the mounts/fan mounts are different i believe and would be abit of hassle to mount properly.

I got a brand new patent rad from "aaron radiators" it was alot cheaper than suzuki and alot of 2nd hand ones so might be worth a look. Also its lasted 10k through 1 winter and seems alot sturdier than standard.

also 05 or 06 the rads became shorter so stuck out alot less.

Pointy and curvy radiators are very different; the curvy is a lot taller than the pointy one, and the inlets and outlets and thermo switch are different in shape and location. Not saying it's impossible to fit one to the other, but it's not likely to be a straight forward bolt on job.

Aaron Radiators have the pointy listed at £149.95, if you have a naked pointy then Delkevic is a bit cheaper.

From the Aaron radiators web site...

Suzuki SV650 99-02 radiator - £99.95 inc VAT
Suzuki SV650S 03-04 (faired) radiator - £149.95 inc VAT
Suzuki SV650N 03-04 (unfaired) radiator - £149.95 inc VAT

Suzuki SV650 05- radiator - £281.95 inc VAT

Erm... Why?

If they can make a profit selling '99 radiators for £99 and '03-'04 radiators for £149 then why make the '05- £281?

That to me stinks of Rip off Britain at its finest and a perfect reason for me not to use them.

The only difference on the 05 to the 04 is the rad fan mounts are slightly different.

I'm going to Email and ask about this. It should be a great reply!
