Default fuel duty dropped by 1p as of tonight

at 6pm, fuel duty will drop by 1p, there will be no fuel duty increases and no more fuel escalator and a fuel duty stabiliser put in place.

Wow... a penny... it's going up a penny every week anyway.

I don't know what the stabiliser really means? If the price is stablised at the current price then thats stupid too as it's the highest price on record.

You're cheap then...

Should have been a percentage drop with guarantees for the price of fuel to not rise above a certain value.

10p a litre drop would still not be enough of a drop as far as I am concerned.

Had to fill up the SV last night - £21 in a bike tank FFS

how did you manage to put £21 in an SV??!! fuel must be mega high in london. it will bring my cheapest fuel station near me down to £1.26.9

but i have always wondered, how can it be legal to sell something to a .9 of a penny when we do not and cannot pay for the exact .9 or whatever it should be, they always round it up.

should be something about that done really

I paid £1.50 for Diesel in scotland a couple of weeks ago. Petrol was £1.44. And that was the cheapest I could find... there was much much more expensive places to fill up.

I really feel for people in the sticks with no petrol station competition or supermarket fuel.

i really want the supermarkets to force the drop in price like they did before, bringing it back down to 99.9p per litre would make everyone happy and im pretty sure people would actually buy more fuel, so its a win win

according to petrolprices.com 126.9 is the lowest in the UK, 133.5 being the nationwide average.
Lowest price near me 130.9 apparantly
