Default NOT to be morbid....

...genuinely not to be morbid at all but I am really missing me mum and dad at moment ! Its not a bad thing and i'm certainly not dwelling on negative thoughts at all just would have been their 73rd and 88th birthday coming up soon and wonder how long do you miss them for ?!!? i guess forever ... i just do wish they were there sometimes just to make a nice bacon butty for me dad and do the gardening with him and take me mum shopping and getting told off for adding the most expensive shampoo in the trolley!! simple pleasures

But I always remember the good times Love you Mum and Dad and I'll raise a glass to you this weekend xxx

I still miss my Dad like anything, and I've just realised is almost 10 years since he died.

But I will focus on the lovely stuff he did and ponder on how I think he would smile at what me and daughter are up to now. It's a healthy, positive kind of missing, if you know what I mean?

I miss my Dad every day and sometimes it still hurts as much as it always did They say when they're gone is when you finally grow up.

My Dad was already a pensioner when his parents died yet I know people who are losing parents and in their 20's and 30's. The price to pay for having children late I suppose, the hidden cost. I feel sorry for my toddlers as they won't have a long relationship with their grandparents like I did.

I too miss my old man. 10 years last anniversary and it seems like yesterday. He knew he was dying, prepared for it, we all knew the score and I was with him but it still hurt and still does.

Fit and active one day, and suddenly became old overnight.

Miss my mum everyday for 5 years, though I miss the advice and the wise cracks i miss the hugs more than anything. Just need someone to say that its going to be alright. Somedays will always be worse than others and you just don't realise you miss them as much!

Though I'm sure she'll be smiling once she realises what I intend to do with her song!!
