Default Exhaust Resleeving?

Hey everyone

Does anyone know of anywhere for getting an end-can resleeved? Had a bit of a prang last weekend and my lovely Scorpion end can ended up with a big dent in it, but looks salvageable.

I'm based in North East Lincolnshire so somewhere near this locality would be best, although to be honest anywhere would be good as I don't mind posting the can if need be.

Not sure on the scorpion assembly but its pretty easy to do yourself if you have a drill pop riveter and a broom handle. Also big polishing head for a drill to shiny it up nicely again but this method normally works a treat.

I'm able to get hold of the tools but unfortunately I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to this stuff; I'm very much a newbie!

Well in that case i would recommend a tinker, once you have a go youll be thinking "well that was easy"

get the can off.
get a small drill bit and drill the head of the rivits off.
then knock them through so nothings holding the end cap/caps on.
Inner tube and packing will just slide right out and your left with just the sleeve which you can cut down or knock the dent out of. ( might need some new packing to depending on how dead the stuff in there is )

putting back together is just the reverse although can be abit tricky and require abit of leverage to get the end caps in place.
all in all it is an light afternoons work that really wont take long so all i can do is say have a go.

im sure there must be some one local to help aswell if you want a more experienced pair of hands to run through it.

If I can't find anywhere to do it for me then I'll give that a try, thanks for the how-to. Knowing my luck i'll mess it up haha!
