The laptop needs a new a battery, how much should they cost where is the best place to get them from?

They seem to be £30 or so on fleabay, but do you fancy installing it? There must be an Apple Store somewhere near you, go in and ask them what they'd charge for battery AND installation.

It just clips in, so yes I can do it myself. I just need a place to get a battery from.

Ah, you got an older one? My old iBook G4's one just clipped in, but the newer Unibody ones you'd have to take it all apart to get at the battery.
fleabay, but again ask in your local Apple Store cos if it's the same price they can probably just go into the stockroom at get you one then and there. |

What year / model Macbook?. I've got a brand new battery for a 17" Macbook Pro that needs a home. Not sure if it will fit other models.
