Default Need advice on bought parts.

Hiya guys/gals,

I bought a right hand side panel for a 99 curvy on ebay,

i received the panel and the condition was terrible on the inside and is useless as:
-The indicator stalk holder seems to be snapped off
-The peg that fits into the grommet was snapped off
-There was marks/groves all over the inside that looks like plastic welding

The reason i ask this as i contacted paypal and they contacted the seller who claims i have snapped the peg off whilst trying to fit it.
Also he claims that the indicator stalk holder is a total different part but on my old panel it is a complete unit so i just need confirmation that this panel is a complete unit.

Please help!!!

Many thanks

Here's a link to the parts fiche for the fairings;

http://www.ronayers.com/Fiche/TypeID...DY_SV650SY_E28

The indicator passes through a recess and is secured with a metal bracket. That recessed plastic is a part of the panel and is not a different part (I think that's the bit you mean - pics would confirm).

All depends on what information he supplied in his ad.

That is spot on what i mean TamSV, It is the bit with the metal bracket on the end, i thought that it was a whole part as it is one mold, Cheers, Thankyou for confirming that.

And he claimed it was in 'Great Condition' and only presented front of the panel thulfi, so i dont believe i should loose out on the money i paid for it, Fair enough i should of asked to see the condition of the back but because he said it was great condition i dint think i should be paying more money to buy attachments which he claims you can buy for the indicator to fit in.

Cheers guys

Repaired accident damage that wasn't mentioned, item not as described... open and shut case.

By the way we have some panels for sale that actually are in great condition!

i hope so svdev, i dont see why i should loose out on a product that aint fit for purpose,

He claims that a garage says you can buy fairing indicator moulding but as far as i now it is one complete part like TamSV said.

Cheers yorkie_chris might have to slip that into my next email, and what colour are they?

Cheers guys
