New member intruduction. - SV650.org

Hi guys, new member here, I have recently become the proud owner of a K2 curvy in silver and have been reading for a week or two picking up snippets of information about the SVs. So far I have replaced the undertray on my bike due to it having been butchered by a previous owner. I have also added a DB killer to the exhaust just to make it a little less antisocial to the neighbours. The Viper race can sounds the mutts but everybody within a 5 street radius locked away their daughters the moment I started the engine the first time after I had taken delivery. It still sounds suitably meaty just a little less loud.

I'm looking forwards to making a positive contribution to the board my mechanical knowledge is reasonable so If I can be of any assistance I will post where suitable.

The SV is my first big bike and has been purchased on the recommendation of a few of my mates. I have always had small bikes no bigger than 125s. I don't have a full licence yet and that was another reason for getting the 650, now my motivation is sitting in the garage so no more excuses for putting it off.

I still have a couple of little jobs to be getting on with, a new rear tyre and chain and sprockets required. Having read through some of the threads on here I have an idea which direction I'm going with these parts so hopefully it won't be too long before I get my bike on the road.

I look forwards to perhaps joining other members on ride outs in the future and becoming a part of the Org. community.
