Default sv650 k3 bogging down/ cutting out :(

Had a quick search not found anything.

Normally only happens after traveling at speed on motorways etc.

The bike occasionally loses its grunt as i go to accelerate, the revs sort of hold in position while i twist the trhrottle then it burst's into life.

When i start to slow for a turn off or roundabout dropping through the gears the bike cuts out and i have to, clutch in and start it. But it wont start unless i apply some throttle.

Then if i stop again and let off throttle the revs drop off and cuts out again.

any ideas where i should start to look for the problem?

fyi - It dosent do this at cruising around town.

many thanks ste

Fuel starvation? Filters or tank breather or trapped/kinked fuel line maybe?

Battery fubar'ed can cause cutting out like your describing as I've had it

Air leak between the throttle bodies and the air box

The air filter is full of crap, which can cause bogging down. My curvy did it and a new filter cured the problem.

The fuel tank has one of the following:
- Blocked fuel line
- Kinked Line
- Crap in the fuel (rust, water etc..) Easily cured by draining the tank and putting fresh in and gradually getting rid of the other stuff in a car or starting a couple of big BBQ's
