Hi guys im new to the forum and im already asking questions
![]() I done a oil change yesterday and done all the correct things step by step, I went for a ride to the cash point earlier and on the way back i thought the wet road was very slippery, However, when i looked down at the front end it was covered in Oil and i left a trail for about half a mile, Ive got the bike home but cannot find any problems or loose parts ![]() Any suggestions guys as its my only transport?? Thanks, Matt. |

Lucky lucky.
Filter defective or more likely fitted incorrectly.

Make sure the surface it is mating with has no rubber seals stuck to it, it should be a metal surface. Smear the new seal (on the filter) with oil, then screw it on hand tight. Then recheck your oil level.

Clean the oil off after you reseat filter, then check oil level (don't run it or anything until you have done this)

Right just went out, started undoing the filter and noticed it was seated on a rubber ring, so basically it was filter then rubber then engine, is this correct or should it not have any rubber bits seperating the filter and the engine
