Stebel Nautilus issue - SV650.org

Anyone can help?

Horn was working fine till Germany trip. CAme back washed the bike and put it in the garage. Not used it for about a month and took it out yesterday to find the horn was not sounding loud enough and also sounds a bit "rough"?

Checked connectors they are fine with no corrosion etc.

It has got a bit better after using it a bit.

Any ideas?

I suspect a bit of corrosion on the diaphragm, either caused by road crap getting in or by over enthusiastic washing getting water in there. The fact it's got better with use backs this up. Use it more and it may clear completely.

If it is water / crud getting in, make sure the trumpet is either shielded or facing down to minimise the chances of it happening again.

Ah cheers Mike. It's fitted horizontally so I'll check if it is facing fwd and move it around.

Would some WD40 help if it is corrosion on the diaphragm?
