Saw an offer for Dover to Calais for £1 per foot passenger, so thought I might take the kids to France for the day and let them loose with the French they have learned.
...but the train to get to dover and back is £50!!! What a rip off. |

You can take the car across for about £20 return for a day trip
I do this twice a year for ciggies and only went 2 weeks ago. I know that P&O say that its £30 each way, but thats if you return on a different day to departure Last edited by Viney; 21-07-11 at 02:10 PM. |

If you book far enough in advance you can also use Eurotunnel from Folkestone to Calais for about £11 each way.

Crazy seeing as we're part of the EU and if you drive between France and Spain you don't need your passport.

They waved me through passport checking onto the Eurotunnel whilst I was still wearing my helmet, complete with blacked out visor fully shut.
Just borrow someone elses passport for the day Kelly! |

Yes.If it wasnt for that Bob Crow and his union they would all be on minimum wage we could get tickets for half the price. Why should I have to fork out from my nice fat pay packet to subsidise others.I pay my taxes and buy the Daily Mail. What more do they want?
