I am thinking that it is time to spend some money on my 04 sv650s. I would like peoples advice on suspension upgrade front and rear. I would like a gsxr convesion but i dont think i can afford it so diferent springs and rear shock is the answer. I am only 9 stone without my kit on but i ofter take the other half with me who weights about the same. I would also like to put gsxr calipers on the front and maube the rear to. If anyone can advice on what to purchase and if you have any of the items please let me know.
Many thanks |

I've done K-Tech linear springs with Debrix Emulators and Nitron rear shock. Brake discs changed to Galfers with HH pads as I'm happy with the calipers.
With your weight you may not need new front springs, check the (Racetech) charts etc. Pillion affects rear more than front so consider remote pre-load adjustment if you do a lot of 2 up travel. |

From the RaceTech website, 9st without kit, 190kg bike semi wet gives 0.83kg so you could go for 0.8 or 0.85 spring rates. I'm 11st without kit and find 0.85 work well for me. As K-tech start at 0.85 it's a clear choice if you go with them. Maxton, Ractech start at 0.8 I believe.

Upgrade the whole shebang, sell your bike and buy my K8, which comes with Gixer front end, Gixer rear shock, Pazzo levers, R&G crash bungs, R&G cotton reels, fork protectors, smoked indies, SW-Motech rack etc etc

A set of ktech springs and a refresh of the suspension will do the front end for about £200 (being done by a trained mechanic)
