New Toy

Purchased (read, finance) one of these yesterday...

Never had or used a Mac before, what should I be expecting, are there any pitfalls or things I should be looking out for? Bought it primarily for editing photos etc and for when/if I eventually get round to going self-employed.

On the photo editing side of things, would people recommend elements or paintshop pro?

i can't comment on elements, never used it, paint shop pro i swore by a few years ago when i was into editing etc... i'm sure the software has moved on majorly since i used it but its user friendly as hell and very powerful. not in the same league as photoshop but not far off, but then the price isn't in the same ball park as the Adobe offering either!!
