Default 2 or 3 brake lines?

Could someone please explain any advantages/disadvantages of running the 2 line "race" setup rather then the standard 3 lines using braided brake lines.

On a 2002 sv650s if that makes any difference?

Thanks

I find that 2 lines help eliminate air locks and are so much quicker and easier to bleed.

+1

Also, limits the chance of the hose rubbing your on your hugger and marking it.

Cheaper, usually you pay per line not for the length

Another vote for the 2 line "race" setup here

2 lines are cheaper, 3 lines if you want the 'standard' look.

The shortest ammount of line you can use, and thus the most "direct" system is one line down to the right caliper and a short one from there up and over the mudguard to the left caliper. This isn't a "race" setup as it's not allowed by ACU rules, but I rather like it.

The 3 line setup is very neat but it does cost more.

The 2 line "race" setup is perfectly fine if it's fitted carefully. Often the lines are not routed very carefully and rub on bits of plastic, and generally look untidy to my eyes.

Cheaper as you pay per banjo union. So its 4 as opposed to 6. Agree on the bleeding too
