Hi,
I have a curvy and I'm after the orgers views on K-tech springs - are they any good? Worth upgrading to? If so where is the best place to get them and I take it linear is the way to go? Any advice much appreciated - I did a search but couldnt find alot of info.... Cheers |

Definately worth upgrading....I would go as far to say it is probably one of the most worthwhile mods for a normal sized person....do it

The general view seems to be positive -
See http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...ghlight=k-tech and http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...ghlight=k-tech and http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...ghlight=k-tech I've just had K-tech springs installed in the forks of my SV (02 curvy S) along with a couple of other suspension mods (Nitron Track Shock, Cartridge Emulators). I haven't had a chance to do a major test yet, but the bike I rode home from Steve Jordan Motorcycles yesterday was VERY different to the one that I left there a couple of days before. The back end is now controlled, rather than a wallowy bouncy mess and the front is so much more planted!! Braking confidence has shot up, braking points for familiar roundabouts have moved significantly! I also have no doubt that having the bike set up properly for my weight is a major part of this difference (big thanks to Steve and Sarah!!). Ian |

I am looking to change the fork oil on my Curvy SV. standard forks with K-TECH springs , the prevous owner (Suicidesam) had used 15W oil. Can anyone recomend oil for an 11 Stone 10 rider?
Cheers |

Go direct, k-tech store
I dropped into their place since it's not all that far from me. Give them a ring first to check what they have in stock, they only had 0.85kg/mm when I got mine, fortunately they suit my weight pretty well, slightly stiffer than I need but I prefer it that way anyway.
