Default Ride Season

Hey everyone, I was just wondering what kind of riding season you guys get over in the UK? ex. Here, the ride season only lasts from late April to early Oct. (if we're lucky) Kinda sucks to pay the insurance for all of 6 months....

Yeah, it's not the snow here that gets you...it's the -40 degree weather. We hit -55 last year, second coldest place on Earth. Antarctica being number 1.

Had to be done!

Lost 4days last year at the start of Jan due to significant snow fall. If I had the option of taking a car then it would have been about 4weeks that I lost. Not much fun riding when your approaching every manouver repeating "please find grip, please dont slide"

My season is that weekend in summer (when it arrives) when I manage a full friday to sunday.

We used to take trucks to alberta for cold weather testing. Big failure as they never experienced damp cold and froze like they do in europe. So saved the money and built a climatic chamber.

Now snow in the middle of summer was fun. Now it is normal.

I used to ride year round. The only thing that stopped me was snow on my road which is a hill. as soon as that was rideable, id be back ont he bike. However, nowadays, i dont ride daily, but would happliy ride in any weather other than the above.

about 5-8 weeks most years up North.
Was closer to 3 months for me this winter as a good few things took priority over the bike for a good while
