Ouch, glad he is recovering. That sounds very nasty.

I have had one bounce off my lid and that hurt my neck. But, the worse I have seen was a pheasant take out a complete fairing, ripping off the clocks etc of a brand new TDM I was following. About £800 of damage with no insurance to claim back the damage from. When I checked the rider was alright, he was shaking.

I can't believe he managed to stay on his bike right upto 140mph without hitting another road user.

100cc bike doing 140mph ? Not likely.

Am I the only one sceptical that he was probably doing 50mph lol?

Tbh ive it was a 30mph zone then 50 is resonable to believe. If it was NSL I be amazed if he want under 80 especially as it said it was on a straight - I could be wrong of course, not everyone is a throttle *****.
Taking nothing away from teh bloke though, he's a lucky fecker and Im glad for his family etc that he's not brown bread and would wish him all the best in his recovery.
