probably a really dumb question but can you use rain-x on a helmets visor?

It's more useful putting it on your visor than car windscreen as you don't have wiperblades to wipe it back off again on a visor.

they will say though that its not approved for use on your visor. aparently it can make some plastics brittle and as they cant test it on every visor they say dont use it

Bought some stuff called Goop some years ago, it eat my BMW system visor, Makers were very worried as they had just got a contract with the police that use BMW helmets. They paid me of £50, the cost of a new Visor.

use rain-x all the time. never had any problems.

ive used it on my bike helmets and my race helmets when i was karting

dunno, it rocks on normal visors though. It's great on car side/rear windows too but crap on windscreens, you can't see anything just after the wipers wipe.

Ive had issues with it on an iridium coated visor. Was over 10 years ago so may not be the case now.
