I don't think it matters. As far as I know, the forks dampers/springs are the same size.

It does matter, too loose in top of pointy damper rod. Doesn't sit right, you can use in pointy but you need to make a bushing.

Chris, if you give me the dimensions of the bush if a pointy buyer want them I will make them on the lathe and chuck them in with the emulators.

Google tells me those codes quoted are racetechs part numbers
3801 = 38mm 4101 = 41mm the ones you appear to have? |

Those fit pointies too with spacer, don't see why OD of emu is important as long as it supports spring and seals comp chamber.
Dimension that is different between pointy/curvy is way less that 38/41mm
