Default HTC Phones

Anyone got one of their smart phones.

I get an Iphone free from work so I don't want another.

However my personal phone is up for renewal so I was interested in an HTC. What is the top of their range etc etc

I have an HTC Desire. I was a bit sceptical about getting it at first because to me if it isn't a Nokia or Sony Ericsson then it's not a proper phone. However, my mates have had them in the past and been impressed so I gave it a go.

I love it, quite simply the best phone I have ever had and it has the bonus of not being made by the fruit company. My boss now has the Desire HD and he loves that too, but I'm not keen on the lack of physical buttons on the front. The screen on the HD is an impressive size though.

Personally I dont think you can beat the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc at the moment.

Dont confuse an Android Phone for an HTC - HTC are just a manufacturer (and indeed they make Windows Mobile phones)

Also what do YOU want it to do - there are a variety of "top of the range" depending on what you consider to the "top of the range" features, ie some are more specialised than others - my Xperia Play has a playstation-style controls for gaming functionality.

Yes better resolution screen and some other tack

I have the HTC tattoo and it's their entry level Android phone, it's since been replaced by the Wildfire.

Its not as powerful as the desire etc but it's about a quarter of the price, can do 90% of what they can do and you don't need a wheelbarrow to cart it around.

I have a personal iphone and got given a HTC wildfire for my work phone. Was a bit miffed at first because it's quite a low spec, android, but it does everything I need it to sometimes better than the iphone.
