Default to screen or not to screen...

over the year I've basically turned the speed four into my "do everything bike", the clipons have gone replaced but nice comfy renthals, it has heated grips a 12v aux socket, rack, topbox, panel protectors for the Triumph panniers, a tank harness for the triumph tank bag, additional clock, satnav mount.... you get the picture, anyway I was seeing a mate last week and he works in a bike breakers, they had in a street triple, I gave him a hand to drop the engine out of it, whilst there I saw it had Evotech rear and GB Racing front axle crash bung things, so got those for the S4, happy man that's about £70 retail, so saved £60, the street also had a powerbronze screen fitted, this morning I nipped down and took that off and got that for another £10 (also picked up a few other goodies for a song, I love bike breakers).

Just back in and gave it a clean and have offered it up, looks alright, but it does require three "tophat" sized holes drilling in the front fairing but I'm not sure I want to do that?

here's what the manufacturer shows

and what it looks like offered up

Oh and it's light enough to still see the decals on the fairing beneath which I quite like.

need to make a choice in the next couple of hours... Opinions ?

Cheers Mark.

I am in the "Yes" camp as anything that adds to an old blokes comfort is beneficial
Being an old bloke myself and it looks quite smart

You're doing it anyway but I think it looks better with. Can you get your Ring sticker on the screen instead?

just found a little problem, hadn't noticed it has a crack right in the middle, only shows up when you put pressure on the screen, still dab of superglue should do the trick.

Cheers Mark.

OK all done, couldn't find any superglue, so I've done the screw up just tight enough and put a sticker over to keep things together ( I will glue it up at some point...honest).

not a bad look and gives a good rise to the front.

taking some pics now.

Cheers Mark.
