Indicators not blinking - SV650.org

4 new indicators, an earth and live wire for each, all plugged into the correct places as according to Haynes and experience. When I start indicating, the blink rate (the clicking I can hear) is normal. Everything is fine, they just don't flash! And I have gotten all the bulbs to light up so I know they're not blown. Correct wattage and voltage too.

Any ideas?

Just to double check, you're not using LED indicators? Standard bulb type?

Have you tried putting the old ones back on to see that alls ok or would that be a pita. I put four new ones on my brothers bandit and they didn't work, it turns out they were 9w bulbs so i changed them for 21w and they worked.

Definitely not using LED's. Bog standard bulb

Definitely correct wattage and voltage, and I would put in the old ones but they don't exist! And the Chinese-quality plastic indicators I had on temporarily, worked fine, except they flashed too quickly, but only due to incorrect bulb wattage.

..SO, the signals are being sent, wires are working, wires are correct, bulbs are correct and work. But they just don't flash! Even "clicks" appropriately.

Weird. Have you measured the current to see if it's turning on and off with the clicking? I'm assuming that's coming from a relay somewhere? What about the indicator on your dash, is that blinking or solid?

Yeah I did Geodude, thanks! Spannerman sorted it for me. Don't know exactly what he did, but he mentioned how the lights were double earthed (despite I don't think that should do anything).

Ahh nice one, glad they are sorted now. Might have to pm stewart to see how he fixed them just for the info incase its useful and cos im nosey
