Wasn't too bad riding to work yesterday morning but coming home it was ridiculous. Even with the linings taken out of my trousers and jacket I was still boiling. In the end I had to unzip the jacket a bit to keep cool. Within 30 mins I was soaking. One way to lose weight I guess. The jacket part I can put up with because once I was going it was fine but I'll need new trousers. Any ideas what can keep me cool but still actually has good protection. Seen a few kids about with just a helmet and shorts and T-Shirt! Madness

Get yourself some summer base layers mate, preferably merino wool ones, they insulate you from your gear and does stop a lot of sweating.
I cannot ride without my base layers on in the summer, I sweat too much, I can weary leathers all day long no problem. |
