Default Anyone have experience breeding dogs?

Although I type this with a childish smile on my face (yes I am immature), this is a serious topic! My missus wants puppies

I have 2 dogs, one of each sex (yes it does help), and I feel as though if it were left down to them 2 to save the race, they would face extinction for sure.

They've been at it for weeks but no go. Can anyone tell me if these are normal?

  • Female humps male, while biting his back? (read this is possibly a dominance thing?)
  • Male is CONSTANTLY licking the female region. She seems to enjoy it...
  • Male humps female but he is way off target (too far to one side, too far away, humping her head...)
  • She just walks off after about 15s, like she's bored.
I thought nature made sure these things come naturally to animals, but he seems to have no clue. Any other tips to get this to work?

Serious replies only please!

No, one's a Jack X Chuwankwank and the other is Jack x Daschhound or something like that.

No pedigree or anything, proper mongrels, what can you expect I'm from Essex innit

By that do you mean that's the way you've been doing it and they've only had you to teach them - if so that explains why they are confused!

If they are cross breeds you'll struggle to give them away.
I really wouldn't for the welfare of dogs. Unless you are planning to keep them all then go ahead!!
